Careers

Dockhand(s)

Description

The Dockhand is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, effective, safe, and courteous, high-quality service to our customers.  The Dockhand is usually the first person a customer interacts with when returning his boat to the marina.  Therefore, the Dockhand is required to model exemplary customer service skills through their interactions with customers.   Making an excellent first and last impression is of utmost importance.  This impression is formed primarily through good verbal communication skills and performing work competently, on time, on budget, and as expected by the customer.  The Dockhand is a positive example for enhancing and preserving a sales-driven culture, customer service oriented, and responsive to external and internal (co-workers) requirements and requests.

The boating business is best when the weather is hot.  Performing manual tasks in extreme heat can take a considerable toll on a person's state, both physically and mentally; however, the Dockhand must not let the conditions impair their ability to interact in a personable manner with customers.

The Dockhand will work as efficiently as possible to satisfactory completion and assist other departments and personnel in all areas as needed.
